LTM Tomcat
About
This is a little bit different to our customer builds. For a long time we've wanted to race! And what better way to do it than using our very own products to propell us to victory. M57 - 8 Speed and lots of bravery. There is of course a full series on Youtube of how we built this but a summary of the series is below...

How it started
When this arrived with us it was a rolling chassis at a 93" wheelbase. For the amount of power we were planning on running, we needed a slightly longer wheelbase so we set to changing the chassis to a discovery 2 chassis.
This was guaranteed to be a massive project for the LTM team especially since this was being worked on in between customer jobs. But it also had a tight deadline of just 5 months.
Engine Servicing
Before going in, the engine received all the essential maintenance to ensure long-term reliability — a new timing chain, fresh seals, and gaskets throughout. We wanted the ultimate speed machine so 219 injectors and a hybrid turbo was fitted meaning the engine is now producing around 400bhp.
We focused on reliablity because actually finishing the race is a big part of winning.

Gearbox Spec
To bring out all the extra power we fitted an 8 speed gearbox, of course it had to be 8 speed. The one difference with this set up however was that we weren't using the standard f series gear shifter. We are using a fully sequential DTC shifter making shifting effortless even in the anger of a race.
The result is a gearbox that will effortlessly put down power through all 8 gears with seamless changes meaning no loss of time waiting for the next gear to arrive.
The CANTCU was set to sport+ making shifting responsive and instant, just like a sequential gearbox.
Extras
Obviously there are lots of extras on the car including high perfomance shock absorbers, upgraded diffs and a driver with nerves of steel to keep the car on song. I'll let you discover the rest there is to know by watching our Youtube series.
